I say this on TV the Orcas worked hard for this meal over 4hrs.We don't need to wonder about intelligent life on far away Galaxies.Elephants,Whales,Great Apes,Parrots, and my very favorite the Dog,have been misunderstood for centuries.

I must say that I'm not surprised. Killer whales goes, like all other preyers, after the weakest, in this case the baby. They also prefer drowning baby whales, as I can see it, but then again they have to keep their eyes opened for the tail of the mother defending. If she hits them with her tail, it hurts badly, and with larger whales it can kill them. It's nature.

dont call me cold-hearted but why are those people almost crying. its only nature

I'm not trying to sound condescending but you should watch the ENTIRE documentary and not just a 4 minute clip. Because if you did, you'd discover that it's absolutely true that killer whales will retrieve from a GRAY WHALE ATTACK (I didn't say seal attack) if they're in less than 30 feet of water. Check it out.

I know I watched the video, but you said "Apparently, killer whales won't go in water less than 30 feet high and the mother knew that". There's nothing special about a mother protecting her baby. What I said was that killer whales can beach themselves whilst hunting for seals thus debunking your claim that they won't go into water less than 30 feet deep.

I was just referring to THIS specific National Geographic Documentary. I'm very aware that killer whales prey on seals. What was special about THIS documentary was that it was all recorded by a whale tour group on Mother's Day who watched a gray whale suprisingly protect her calf from a group of skilled killer whales on Mother's Day.

Haha, are you serious, have you never seen videos of Killer Whales beaching themselves to get seals
